Adolescence poses many challenges. Self image, friendship, relationships and feelings of inadequacy are just some of the issues facing teenagers. For teens living with heart conditions, the challenges are much more complicated. They need a special kind of support as they grow into adulthood.

At teens@Heart, our heart teens get to connect with other teens with similar experiences and challenges, share feelings and coping strategies, and build friendships and peer support.

Every year, 13- to 17-year-old heart teens have the opportunity to go to Camp Teen Beat – an outdoor pursuit that encourages them to challenge themselves in a safe environment, learn coping strategies and life skills, and have fun.
