Step up to the Crease
Hi there,
Our daughter, Lucy, (11 months) was born with a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. That’s a condition with four heart defects. Lucy’s needed three operations with another scheduled in just a few days.
Over this last year, we have been absolutely humbled by the level of care and support our family has had. We want to give something back to the community. That’s why we started the ‘Heart Kids 12 Days of Cricket.’ (You might remember Rob used to be the BLACK CAPS wicket keeper).
The ‘Heart Kids 12 Days of Cricket’ charity auction has some really great memorabilia and experiences you just can’t buy anywhere else. There’s something for everyone. Like morning tea with Helen Clark or lunch with Winston Peters or John Key. Golf with famous cricketers, memorabilia from the BLACK CAPS, Sir Edmund Hillary, Possum Bourne, and of course the ALL BLACKS. Make an appearance on Pulp Sport, enjoy corporate hospitality at the V8s or the rugby. And there’s lots more.
12 babies are born every week with a heart condition in New Zealand making this the most common serious birth abnormality. @Heart is the only organization dedicated to supporting children with heart defects and their families throughout New Zealand.
