Larissa Cox

14_larissa_bHello, my name is Larissa Ella Cox and I am now two years old.
Here I am with my 8 year old sister Saskia.

We are sitting at the Kerikeri BNZ where we helped to swap chocolate hearts for gold coins during the Awareness Week.
We are looking forward to eating more chocolate hearts next year.

I was born with two holes in my heart, a mitral valve that cannot be repaired and an aorta that straddles both sides of my heart.

When I was 8 months old Mr Kerr, my surgeon, started the Fontan Procedure which will be completed when I am four or five years old.

My Mum & Dad helped me write this (in case you hadn't guessed)

P.S. If you want to know the secret to my success : Smile and take life as it comes (unless you're hungry of course, in which case its OK to cry … but only if you're under 4 years old ! )
Bye Bye
